Stellar Foundation Sponsors Two Children's Dreams Through Dreams Come True

In 2008, the Stellar Foundation donation to Dreams Come True helped sponsors the dream of a 17-year-old boy named Cody and 16-year-old Andrew.

Cody has been battling ALL, Acute lymphocytic leukemia, which is a rapidly progressing form of leukemia that is characterized by the presence in the blood and bone marrow of large numbers of unusually immature white blood cells destined to become lymphocytes.

He was referred to Dreams Come True by Nemours Oncology Clinic. Cody's dream was to attend a New York Yankees game and meet some of the players while visiting his brother in New York. Last weekend, Cody was treated as VIP by the Yankees. He and his brother had a blast at the baseball game cheering on their favorite team. Cody was taken on a special tour and had the opportunity to meet some of his favorite baseball players including Derek Jeter! With his spending money, he was able to purchase plenty of Yankees memorabilia.

Andrew's dream was to visit the magical words of Disney in late October with his mother, father, brother and his nurse. He was able to visit Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Universal Studios, Animal Kingdom, Sea World, Islands of Adventures and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Andrew also was able to swim with the dolphins at Discovery Cove during his seven day trip to Orlando.

Andrew and his family stayed at the magnificent Give Kids The World, a resort where trees snore, the mayor is a bunny rabbit and kids can eat all of the ice cream they want all day long.
